It was the fateful night of August 6th, when Mrs India from Karnataka, Rajyashree Vishanth confronted the most horrific incident of her life. She was on her way home with her husband on the night of August 6. The couple was travelling in their two-wheeler on NICE Road at night when her vehicle broke down. Her husband went to fetch a mechanic, while she was waiting. And what happened thereafter was scary. But she bravely took the matter into her own hands. I was traveling with my husband (Mysore road to Bannerghatta road) My vehicle motor got freezed in NICE road.My husband took lift and went to take some assistance. Meanwhile there was a psychiatric person who attempted to attack me.He was wearing black bra, I could clearly make out he had stuffed cotton in it.He unfastened his shirt as he drew close to me. He was wearing lipstick and cheek rose and furthermore a bindi(surely he was not a transgender). In any case, he was wearing ordinary men’s wear (black shiny formal shirt and dark blue jeans) I yelled out loud so someone could hear. It was a bustling highway yet every one moved at higher pace. Nobody ceased.I said I’ll summon police but he stayed .He stood looking at me like a creep. When I tried to take his photos he kept running from the place.I can plainly distinguish him he wore his white helmet and rode fast. he is psychopathic without a doubt.

This is risky for the men and women if such individuals are permitted to meander free. This may have occurred with many yet individuals here simply don’t care.

We tried to connect with the helplines which were mentioned in nice road when incident occurred, but nobody responded properly. Though we waited enough for help for two hours we didn’t get any help from the authorities of nice road.

However I have informed few of my media companions who will help me to get the video cuts from nice road toll.. I simply needed to keep police refreshed with respect to this occurrence.

The nice road MD Mr. Kheni’s assistant met my husband and me during our interview in Digvijaya news. He apologised to us and guaranteed us that the well-being of the people will be dealt with. He additionally guaranteed us that, he will ensure such incidents may never happen again.

“There are no lights on NICE road. According to the police, no expressways have lights, but this falls under city limit, so they should make the changes,” she explained in a brief conversation with me. She added, “ According to the NICE road officials, there are patrolling officials to help, in cases such as these, but I didn’t see a single one during my long wait.”

It is strange that even in the wake of such horrific incidents, A road such as this, which charges reasonably well, hasn’t made sufficient arrangements to safeguard its passengers. “ The cars were zooming past me. No a single car stopped. They are scared of loot and thuggery, which is a common occurrence. So even though I was in a real situation, most people assumed it as another plan perhaps..” Not just that, helplines aren’t answered on time. They have no signboards on NICE road, so you don’t know where you are on the stretch. And, the ones you are calling out to help don’t have a tracker.” But she assured, “The police are cooperating. They are taking necessary action to make this more safe.” Finger crossed. For, I am a regular on NICE road.
