The team of ‘Pokkiri Raja’ has chosen Coimbatore as the venue of their music launch, scheduled to be held on February 14. The film, directed by Ramprakash Rayappa and starring Jiiva, Hansika Motwani and Sibiraj, will hit the theatres in May this year.

This is actor Jiiva’s 25th movie.

The audio launch, coinciding with the Valentine’s Day celebrations, will be organized at SNS College of Engineering auditorium. This event is open to public and the entry is free. Stars like Jiiva, Kajal, and Vimal among others, are expected to participate in the audio launch of ‘Pokkiri Raja.’

Addressing the press today, ‘Pokkiri Raja’’s producer, P.T. Selvakumar said, “Yesterday, we released one soundtrack of the film in Chennai. The song ‘Athuvutta, Athuvutta’ was launched amidst a lot of fanfare. We are positive that the songs and movie will do well.”

‘Pokkiri Raja’ is director Ramprakash Rayappa’s second film. He made his directorial debut with ‘Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum.’ There were initial rumours that harris Jayaraj will score the tunes, but D. Imman was finalized as the music director.

The film’s poster was released in October 2015. When asked about the film’s budget, the produce said, “The post production work is still on and, at this stage, it is difficult to comment on how much we have spent on the movie.”
