Police book over 5,000 cases, collect Rs. 5 lakh fine in 15 days

The city police has registered 5,013 cases under Motor Vehicles Act against two-wheeler users for not wearing helmets during the 15 days of this month.
An amount of Rs.5,01,300 was collected as fine from the violators, police said.
The City Police Commissioner, A Amalraj, has cautioned that the drive against those driving without helmet will continue.
