PSGR Krishnammal college first year student created a world record. she is the first female Silambam artist.

The First year BCOM (BA) department student of Neenashree created a world record in the Future Kalam’s BOOKS OF RECORD and UNIVERSAL AXGIEVERS BOOKS OF RECORD by becoming the first female Silambam artist by continuously performing the art for a record time of 3 hours on the 26th January, 2024, in Coimbatore.

She performed different forms of Por Silambam Guru Vanakam, Sabai Vanakam, Boomi Vanakam, Idadhu Sutru, Valadhu Sutru, Mun Sutru, Pin Sutru, Erandam Padam, Moondram Paadam, Nangam Paadam, Padai Veechu, and Thalai Aruppu. To recognize her achievements. she was honoured with a Doctorate for her exceptional accomplishment. Also, she has been awarded a title named Silambatta Singam by Kortavai News.

The college stated that her achievement not only showcases her exceptional talent but also serve as an inspiration to aspiring Silambam artists worldwide. And feel proud of her and congratulate her for further growth.
