Vaiko, the coordinator of the PWF, has announced that its election manifesto will be released on April 28. The manifesto will list the various schemes to generate Rs.29,000 crores, the money lost by imposing total prohibition in the state.
He said that the Government will set up an ethics committee, with experts from different sectors, constitute Public Audit Committee to review and monitor the tenders and contracts, which were the main sources of corruption, and added that honest officials like Sahayam will be at the helms of various departments, so that the governance is transparent and corruption-free.
Introduction of palm cultivation to increase the income of the farmers, creating a single window system for issuing licences to industrial sectors like powerloom, handloom, and knitwear, are some of the pointers to be announced in the manifesto.
PWF’s partners, the DMDK and the TMC, have already announced waiver of farmers’ and students loans.
