Traffic has been diverted in the Gandhipuram region to reduce congestion near the Gandhipuram flyover construction site, with effect from Friday.

Corporation Mayor P. Rajkumar, Commissioner of Police A. Amalraj, and other officials inspected the construction site near GP Signal in order check the possible diversion routes in the area. Based on their recommendations, vehicles going towards Sathy Road from 100 Feet Road shall have to divert via 100 feet Road Second Junction from GP Signal and reach Sathy Road via Radhakrishna Road. Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from Sathy Road to reach Gandhipuram should divert via BKR Nagar Road and reach Aavarampalayam via Anna Nagar Road, and then reach Gandhipuram.

All town buses from Sathy Road to Gandhipuram bus terminus should divert via Sanganur Road and reach Gandhipuram bus terminus by using the Rathinapuri flyover and 100 Feet Road.
