COIMBATORE: The small and micro industries across Tamil Nadu, particularly Coimbatore, were adversely affected after GST Implementation, CPIM Politbureau Member, G Ramakrishnan alleged today.

The Government has claimed that the prices of raw materials would come down and one tax would benefit the industry before GST implementation. However, after implementation nothing promised by the Government has happened, instead the industries were suffering, Ramakrishnan told reporters here.

Stating that small and micro industries were suffering due to increased price of raw materials and also delay in refund of GST, he said that both the Central and State governments should take concrete efforts to revive the industries.

He also said that his party would support the industry, if it comes forward for an agitation, since the slowdown would lead unemployment.

Ramakrishnan also said that those students who appeared for NEET in Tamil should be given grace marks, as there were 68 mistakes in Tamil translation and hence they may not have written the answers correctly.
