The Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat mission has created quite a sensation across the nation. Coimbatore too is committed to the cleanliness ideology. The students of SNR Sons College National Service Scheme joined hands with Young Indians’ Coimbatore chapter and organized a Swatch Bharath Clean India campaign at Coimbatore railway station recently.

C.V. Ramkumar, the CEO of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, inaugurated the event. Also present throughout the programme were K. Karunakaran, Principal of SNR Sons College, officials from Young India Coimbatore Chapter, and the station manager of Coimbatore railway station.

Streetplays were staged in order to sensitize the public about Swachh Bharat mission. This was followed by cleaning up the area in and around the Coimbatore Junction.
