Suspension of Coimbatore law college student revoked temporarily

Coimbatore : The suspension of a first-year female student of Government Law College here was revoked temporarily today.

R Priya was placed under suspension on April 13 by Principal KS Gopalakrishnan for allegedly speaking on the rape incidents in Unnao and Kathua and “attempting to create communal divide among the students”.

The steps against her was taken, following complaints from fellow students and also an assistant professor. The suspension was revoked today based on the interim report by an inquiry panel, appeal from the student and also considering her future, Gopalakrishnan said in a statement.

This would be temporary revocation and future couse of action would depend on the final report, he said.
