Coimbatore gets its first ever Gourmet Bazaar, thanks to friends Shikha Bagaria, Kanika Khanna and Prema Goenka. The three women decided to make shopping for this festival season easy and hassle free for the people of Coimbatore city. That is how the idea of hosting the debut The Gourmet Bazaar was born.

“The idea is to make all that is related to this festival season like gifts, sweets, packaging and more, available under one roof. Through this event we are trying to break the ice between the sellers and buyers,” Shikha Bagaria says.
The Gourmet Bazaar is a two day event that will be held on October 9 and 10 at ALG House behind Nuts and Spices on Race Course Road between 10 am and 7 pm on both the days.

The focus of this event would be fine foods – mostly handmade and homemade, or in some cases produced in smaller quantities by specialty cafeterias and small businesses. In addition to the food, there would be a select range of curios, trinkets, designer jewellery with an emphasis on the homemade, quirky, artistic or limited product factor.

The hosts would organize the beverages and nibbles which would be complimentary for visitors to the event. Participants would also provide a sample of their goods for tasting. Visitors can look forward to picking up a few things for Diwali as the first edition of The Gourmet Bazaar would focus on offering complete Diwali shopping solutions.
