Deputy leader of opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly, Durai Murugan today took a dig at the State government saying that they are busy erecting banners and cut outs and have no time to inquire about drowning people in Ockhi cyclone hit Kanyakumari.

“If there is a government, it will take measures. But there is no government at all and they are only busy in celebrations at this time of distress”, Durai Murugan told reporters near Airport here.

“They are least bothered about who is drowning and who is floating and are busy erecting banners and cutouts,” he alleged.

On R K Nagar by-poll, senior DMK leader said that victory chances are bright for the party candidate.

The party will welcome any party’s support to DMK in the bypoll, Durai Murugan said in reply to the decision of MDMK general secretary, Vaiko extending support to the party.
