Tamil Nadu BJP unit today sought to know why those political parties, who were lining up to condemn the suicide of a Dalit scholar of University of Hyderabad, silent on the tragic suicide of three girl students of a private Siddha College in the State.

Those who had condemned scholar, Rohit Vemula’s suicide, did not consider it fit to condemn the girls’ suicide or those who were preaching tolerance, secularism and finding political motive in every incident, did not get any reason to criticise Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP State Media In-charge, S.R. Seghar, said in a statement here.

“When are they going to line up to the houses of these girls, as done in Vemula’s case, or are they searching for ways to defame Modi Government,” Seghar asked.

Stating that the suicides by jumping into a well was the result of commercialisation of education, he said that it was high time to put an end to such business in Tamil Nadu, without giving it any political colour.
