The Budget session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly would begin on July 21.
The Finance Minister, O. Panneerselvam, would present the revised budget for 2016-17. After the presentation, the Business Advisory Committee would meet to decide on the duration of the session, according to a statement issued by the Assembly Secretary, A.M.P. Jamaludeen.
During the session, that is likely to last for a month, the demand for grants for various departments would be taken up for discussion.
It may be recalled that the first session of the 15th Legislative Assembly began on June 16 with the customary address by Governor K. Rosaiah. The House was adjourned on June 23 after adopting the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address.
