The PMK founder-leader Dr. S. Ramadoss today offered to quit politics if there were any cases against his son and chief ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss, other than the one involving the medical colleges.
Accusing the Congress of indulging in revenge politics behind the case filed by the CBI, Ramadoss said that he was ready to quit politics if more than one case existed against
his son. He was talking about corruption in Tamil Nadu under the AIADMK rule, when one of the reporters asked him the question, quoting an online report that more allegations of corruption could come up against Anbumani.
About intolerance, he said that writers and artistes were troubled by some organisations that were trying to impose Hindutva ideologies on them.
On the question of poll alliances, Ramadoss made it very clear that all parties, except DMK and AIADMK, that are ready to accept Ambumani’s leadership were welcome. He said that one will have to wait until January for a clearer picture to emerge. The leader added that Congress and BJP will have to make their minds up.
