Young wife dies under mysterious circumstances

Thanjavur: A newly married, 19-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances at her husband’s house in Kumbakonam today.
Thaarani, daughter of Chinnappa and Vinodha, of Dwaraga Nagar on the Medical College Road in Thanjavur, was married to Sridhar of Kalyanaraman street in Kumbakonam in June. Sridhar is an office assistant at City Union Bank, while Thaarani was a first-year BA student in Government Arts College, Kumbakonam.
Soon after Sridhar left for work this morning, Thaarani died of electrocution while hanging clothes on a live wire, claimed Sridhar’s parents.
On being informed, Thaarani’s parents rushed to Kumbakonam and lodged a complaint with the police. Chinnappa, in his complaint, alleged that Thaarani could have been murdered by Sridhar’s family.
The Kumbakonam taluk police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
