IPL is back in style and this time one of the most consistent teams of the tournament Chennai Super Kings is also back after a two-year ban, following the spot fixing allegations in 2015. The men in yellow were two-time champions of the cash-rich cricket league and have made it to the play offs consistently except for 2016 and 2017 when the team was banned.

Chennalites and CSK fans across the country missed not just their team but also `Thala’ Dhoni, the ‘Captain Cool’ himself has accepted Chennai is his second home. With the team back, emotions are running high. The question asked is whether CSK could once again delight fans with its blitzkrieg performance on the field. The team led by M S Dhoni is a side with a difference this time as there are no overseas fast bowlers unlike in earlier years.

The team management sprung up a surprise by not investing in good overseas fast bowlers, instead focussed on spinners. CSK is being coached by Stephen Fleming as has been the case in the earlier seasons with Mike Hussey and L. Balaji taking care of batting and bowling departments, respectively.

The first match is slated to take place at the Wankhede stadium on Saturday where Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma will take on the Chennai Super Kings. While both teams will look forward to making a winning start, hopes from CSK in particular are very high considering its track record over the years.
