New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson and wife Sarah Raheem, welcomed their first child, a baby girl. “Overjoyed to welcome a beautiful baby girl into our family,” Williamson wrote while sharing a photo of him hugging his child on Instagram.

Williamson missed the recently-concluded second Test against the West Indies after opting out for paternity leave. Williamson’s wife is a nurse by profession.

“Congratulations and lots of love to you and your family,” Shikhar Dhawan, Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate wrote on social media.

Former New Zealand coach and Royal Challengers Bangalore Director of Cricket Mike Hesson wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations Sarah and Kane, delighted for you both….. Exciting times ahead.”

It’s baby boom in the cricketing world. Indian captain Virat Kohli and his actress-wife Anushka Sharma are also soon to be parents.
