Liverpool would be looking forward to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top of the table as they face Leicester City in a mid-week battle. With Man’s City 2-1 loss to Newcastle, Liverpool could go 7 points clear at the top with a win over Claude Puel’s men. Jurgen Klopp’s side is standing pretty at the top of the table with a total of 60 points and would be hoping to take themselves another step closer to the EPL title tonight. Currently, the Reds have just have a 4 point advantage over Pep Guardiola’s team. On the other hand, Leicester currently stand at 9th position at the table.

It’s all about staying at the top for the hosts. Liverpool, after losing their match to Man city, have won back to back games and maintained their lead over Man City. But any complacency can cost them and they can easily lose their lead over City. The defence for the Reds is a reason to worry as they conceded 3 goals to Crystal Palace, producing a leaky defensive show which the club hadn’t done all season until then.

Whereas Leicester have gone through quite a few ups and downs this season, with inconsistency seeing them loitering in the mid-table area. The Foxes defeated Chelsea and Man City in consecutive fixtures, and while the results were supposed to take them on an upward spiral, 3 consecutive losses to Cardiff, Newport County and Southhampton derailed the momentum.
