Spinner Linsey Smith then removed Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues off consecutive balls to leave India on 23 for three in the fourth over.

When Anya Shrubsole dismissed Veda Krishnamurthy at the halfway mark the hosts were in deep trouble on 46 for five.
