Bharti Airtel has been waging a data war against Reliance Jio and since the Mukesh-Ambani led telco has launched its JioPostpaid services, Bharti Airtel has been launching or revising its postpaid plans, the Airtel Rs. 499 postpaid plan being the latest one.

For the unknown, the Rs. 499 postpaid plan was introduced in March this year in order to take on the Jio’s Rs 509 plan. The Airtel Rs. 499 postpaid plan was earlier offering 40GB of total high-speed data to the subscribers for the billing cycle along with 1-year Amazon Prime subscription and unlimited voice calls. Now, the plan will come with 75GB of total data for the billing cycle while other benefits remain the same.

For details, the Airtel Rs. 499 postpaid plan now offers 75GB of total data for the billing cycle without any FUP limit, unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 100 SMS per day. There is also a data rollover validity of 500MB with the plan while other benefits include 1-year Amazon Prime subscription, Wynk TV subscription, Handset Damage Protection and access to Airtel Live TV and Movies.

While the Airtel Rs. 499 postpaid plan doesn’t offer an add-on connection, it is available to select users in some circles and we expect the company to roll out this plan for all the subscribers in the coming days. On the other hand, Airtel also revised its Rs. 649 plan to offer 90GB of total high-speed data for the billing cycle along with other benefits such as unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, 1-year Amazon Prime subscription and more.
