Xiaomi is launching the first smartphone/ smartphones under the Mi CC series on July 2, the company announced last week. Ahead of the launch the Xiaomi Product Manager Lao Wei posted a picture of the Mi CC9. The photo has been posted on Chinese microblogging site, Weibo. For now, the Mi CC9 will go official in China. There are no reports on whether the smartphone will hit the Indian market anytime soon or not.

In the picture, the smartphone appears in white and flaunts the rear panel design. The picture confirms the complete rear panel design. The Mi CC9 appears with triple rear camera setup placed in a vertical fashion. The camera set up is paired with LED flash. Interestingly the smartphone doesn’t appear with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. This suggests that the Mi CC9 will include the fingerprint sensor beneath the screen of the phone. The picture also shows that the Mi CC9 will include “Xiaomi”brand logo on the left corner.

Rumours and leaks have already revealed everything about the Mi CC9 including the complete specs and price. According to leaks the Mi CC9 will come with 6.39-inch AMOLED display. On the front the phone is said to include waterdrop notch on the top of the phone. The Mi CC9 is said to sport very minimal bezels which in turn will offer much bigger screen-to-body-ratio.

On the hardware front the Mi CC9 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor that also powers the Redmi K20. Rumours suggest that the Mi CC9 will come with two RAM variants — 6GB and 8GB and two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB. Similar to the Redmi Note 7 series of phones the Mi CC9 is also expected to pack 4000mAh battery. On the software front, the phone is said to run on MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie.

On the camera front, the phone is expected to include three cameras on the back panel and single sensor on the front that will sit inside the waterdrop notch. On the rear panel, the Mi CC9 the primary camera is said to include a 48MP sensor, secondary camera a 16MP sensor, and third camera a 12MP sensor. On the front, the phone is expected to include a 32MP selfie shooter.

The price of the Mi CC9 has also been leaked. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 is said to come with a starting price of 2,599 Yuan (~$378) for the base model with 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. Leaks also suggest that the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage models will cost around 2,799 Yuan (~$407) and 3,099 Yuan (~$451), respectively.
