While the world of technology is all hyped about the OnePlus 7 series smartphones, Nubia has quietly launched its answer to the upcoming flagship killer in China. Called the Red Magic 3, the device is a gaming smartphone and starts at RMB 3199 (approximately Rs 33,000). The headlining feature of the smartphone is the turbofan cooling system mated to a Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 90Hz display. Nubia has confirmed that the Red Magic 3 will be coming to India after its global launch in May 2019.
The Red Magic 3 is a successor to the Red Magic Mars that was unveiled at the CES 2019 earlier this year. The Red Magic 3 comes with some gaming-centric features, including an eye-catching design with the classic Nubia RGB LED strip. Nubia has also given the phone a 48-megapixel camera at the rear with the Sony IMX586 sensor. There’s also a massive 5000mAh battery.

–The Red Magic gets a massive 6.65-inch AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
–The phone features a dual speaker stereo setup at the front with support DTS-X and 3D surround sound.
–The Red Magic 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The chipset is aided by a cooling system comprising of liquid cooling system and a turbo fan cooling system. Nubia says the cooling system can increase effective heat transfer by 500 per cent.
–The Red Magic 3 comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
–The phone is kept alive by a massive 5000mAh battery. Nubia has also built-in a 30W quick charging system that provides an hour of gaming with a 10-minute top-up.
–For the cameras, the Red Magic 3 gets a 48-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor. At the front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.
–The Red Magic 3 also gets a stock-Android-like interface similar to the previous generation Red Magic phones launched in India.
Nubia Red Magic India price and launch:
The Red Magic comes in three variants. The base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at RMB 3199 (approximately Rs 33,000) while the middle variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage comes for RMB 3499 (approximately Rs 36,000). The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is selling for RMB 4299 (approximately Rs 44,600).
Nubia has launched the phones in China and after a global launch in May, the company will launch in India soon.
