Realme will launch the Realme X and Realme 3i in India today. The event, which is taking place in New Delhi, will begin at 12:30pm and the company will live stream the launch event for those who want to tune in on Realme.com/in and Flipkart. The Realme X is the company’s newest flagship offering as it touts a Snapdragon 710 chipset, notchless AMOLED display and 48MP dual cameras. The Realme 3i, on the other hand, will be slightly more affordable version of Realme 3 touting a Helio P60 SoC and diamond-cut design.

Realme X was first announced in China priced at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 15,300) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage going up to CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 18,300) for the 8GB + 128GB model. In India, the Realme X will launch with a slightly higher starting price of Rs 18,000, as revealed by Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth. The exact price in India and storage options for the Realme X will be revealed later today.

The Realme 3i, on the other hand, is a budget smartphone that is expected to slot between the Realme C2 and Realme 3. This means one can expect the Realme 3i to cost around Rs 6,999 or Rs 7,999 in India. The RAM and storage configuration is still unknown as of now. Both the Realme X and Realme 3i will go on sale on Flipkart and the company will announce the first sale date during today’s event.

Realme X, Realme 3i specifications

The Realme X is a premium mid-range smartphone and the first from the company to offer a notchless display. The Realme X sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and over 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. There is no notch or punch-hole cutout so the selfie camera is houses in a pop-up mechanism.

The smartphone offers a curved glasstic rear panel in blue and white gradient colour options. Realme will also announce the special Onion and Garlic versions of the Realme X in India as well. The Realme X offers an in-display fingerprint sensor, 3,765mAh battery, VOOC 3.0 fast charging and Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.

The Realme X is powered by a Snapdragon Snapdragon 710 in China and it seems that the India variant will get the same processor despite rumours that the phone will offer a Snapdragon 730 SoC. We don’t know the RAM and storage options coming to India yet, but the China model maxes out at 8GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage.

The dual camera setup on the back will include a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera and 5MP secondary sensor. The pop-up camera houses a 16MP selfie camera.

The Realme 3i was largely a mystery until Flipkart revealed a bunch of features including the design of the phone. The phone will offer a diamond-cut rear panel like the Realme C2 and a 6.2-inch Dewdrop display up front. It will also pack a Helio P60 chipset and a 4,230mAh battery. We should know more about the phone’s specs during the launch event which begins at 12pm.
