It has only been a month since Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India, and already, these two phones have combined clocked more than 1 million sales so far. And it’s justified as the Redmi Note 8 series offers so many options to customers in its class. However, Xiaomi being Xiaomi, it wants to offer even more choices to its customers and has unveiled a new purple colour variant of the Redmi Note 8. On top of that, a new Mi TV model is also coming tomorrow.

First, let’s talk about the Redmi Note 8. Xiaomi has released a new colour variant of the Redmi Note 8 in India. Called the Cosmic Purple, it is essentially a reflective gradient scheme that involves dark and light shades of Purple and a lot of interesting reflective patterns. The frame in this colour variant also has a purple shade. The design of the phone remains unchanged as it’s essentially the same phone in just a new colour variant.

With this new colour, the Redmi Note 8 now offers a choice of four colours in total. You can choose from Space Black, Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and the Cosmic Purple. The Cosmic Purple Redmi Note 8 is available in both the storage variants, i.e. you can get the colour with the variant offering 4GB RAM and 64GB storage as well as the one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The price also remains unchanged, with a starting price of Rs 9,999. And, you can buy this on November 29, 2019.

Xiaomi isn’t stopping there when it comes to giving more choices. Its Mi TV 4 lineup is also getting a new member tomorrow. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed any details about the new Mi TV model but it appears that it could launch an updated version of the entry-level 32-inch Mi TV models, possibly with native support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, with dedicated buttons on the remote controller. The new model could also ship with Android 9 Pie TV OS along with an updated PatchWall interface.

However, the biggest launch for Xiaomi remaining in 2019 for India is the upcoming Mi Note 10. Xiaomi has started teasing the 108-megapixel camera on social media. For the uninformed, the Mi Note 10 is Xiaomi’s first smartphone with a 108-megapixel Penta camera setup coupled with a 5260mAh battery. It also features a curved edge display with a very premium build.
