Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime goes official in India. Earlier last week, Samsung announced that it will be launching a new On-series smartphone in the country, and now the company has made it official — it is the Galaxy On7 Prime. The smartphone boasts a full metal unibody design and comes with a 5.5-inch display and Samsung Pay Mini support. Samsung has launched the new On7 Prime as Amazon exclusive product, but is yet to reveal the pricing details.

Amazon India has created a dedicated page for the new Galaxy On7 Prime — where the smartphone is listed with a “notify me” option. Samsung, as of now, hasn’t revealed the pricing and the availability details of the new Galaxy On7 Prime — but chances are that the handset may fall under the budget segment, much like the On7 or the On7 Pro. If you are interested to book the device for yourself, you may head over to Amazon India store and register yourself with the “notify me” option to get as and when the smartphone is available.

As far as the specifications are concerned, Samsung On7 Prime comes with 1.6GHz, octa-core, Exynos 7870 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. Samsung has launched the smartphone in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the second and the costlier model will come with 4GB RAM memory and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 356GB via a microSD card slot.

The new Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is an “ultra-slick” device and is as thin as 8mm. The phone comes with a full metal unibody and a 5.5-inch full HD display. The smartphone comes along with Samsung Pay Mini support — which will let users make instant payments using UPI or other mobile wallets.

On the camera department, the new On7 Prime comes with a 13-megapixel camera on both back and front coupled with f/1.9 aperture. The back camera comes along with an LED flash — making the device a good one for low-light photography.

As of now, no further details about the smartphone are known — like the battery setup that powers the On7 Prime or the software that runs the device. Samsung is yet to announce the pricing and the availability information as well.

Meanwhile, Samsung is set to launch its first premium smartphone, aka Galaxy A8+ in India tomorrow, i.e Jan 10. The key highlights of the smartphone are its 6-inch infinity display and dual rear cameras. The upcoming Galaxy A8+ is also going to be an Amazon exclusive product.
