Coimbatore : The southern qualifying round of the FMSCI Indian National Autocross Championship (INAC) will be held here for two days from November 24.
The classes are open to vehicles manufactured in India.
Class 1 Stock : 2-wheel drive|up to 1400 cc
Class 2 Stock : 2-wheel drive | over 1400 cc up to 1650 cc
Class 3 Stock : 2-wheel drive | ver 1650 cc
Class 4 Open : 2-wheel drive | upto 1400 cc
Class 5 Open : 2-wheel drive | over 1400 cc Upto 1650 cc
Class 6 Open : 2-wheel drive | over 1650 cc
Class 7: 2-wheel drive
Unrestricted open ladies lass.
The event will be held on Radhakrishna Mills premises in the city, with the scrutineering of cars scheduled for the first day, followed by the qualifying and finals the next day, Coimbatore Auto Sports Club secretary J Prithviraj said in a statement on Wednesday,
Drivers must hold valid FMSCI Licence (Autocross Licence or National Rally/Race Licence, including Entrant licence) to drive in any of the categories and no driver will be allowed to take part in any official practice, heats, if any, qualifying or race unless they have the following full/ open face helmet (FIA approved recommended) and seat belts.
The finals will be run over a maximum of two laps based on the decision of the clerk of the course and the top three drivers of the finals depending on thebnumber of entries in the said class will be eligible for the trophies.
An all-women’s class was also a part of the entire championship, besides an SUV class and exclusive open class for local participants, he said.
There are five qualifying rounds held at North East, South, East, West and North of India. First four competitors in each class of each round will be eligible to participate in the finals of the FMSCI Indian National Autocross Championsip 2018.
