Giving their students an opportunity to explore their subject beyond the four walls of their classroom, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Coimbatore recently organized a national-level conference, titled ‘The Future of Health – Social Integration and Rehabilitation Solutions.’

Shirley David, Deputy Dean of the College of Nursing at CMC Vellore, who was the chief guest at the event, stressed that nurses now have a great role to play. She emphasized on the fact that in addition to caring, nurses have a great role in rehabilitation services.

P. Sukumaran, Director of Medical Services and the Dean of Sri Ramakrishna Hospitals; T. Nirmala, Principal of College of Nursing; and W. Chitra also participated in the conference.

The one-day conference saw students, research scholars and professionals present their research papers on subjects like rehabilitation in obstetrics and gynecology nursing, pediatric nursing, geriatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, and rehabilitation ergonomics.
