Ace tennis player Sania Mirza will flag off the 2nd edition of ‘My India Marathon-2016’ here on March 4, which is run for creating awareness on ensuring 100 per cent polling. The marathon is being organised by Varnam Foundation.

The marathon will be run in four categories – Men (12.1 km), Women (6.1 km), school boys (6.21 km) and school girls (4.1 km), Chairman of Varnam Foundation, L. Kathiresan, told reporters here today.

Nearly 10,000 people, particularly women and professionals, are expected to participate in this event, which was organised considering the ensuing Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, he said.

There would be a prize money of Rs. 1 lakh and Sania will distribute both the certificates and prizes to the winners, Kathiresan said.
