Hospitality industry to join waste disposal project

The hospitality sector would also be part of the ‘No Dumping – My Waste, My Responsibility’ project that was started in the city a few weeks ago.
“Last month’s report card has been very good. Totally 64,806 kg of waste was collected from all the 16 kiosks in the city. Of this 2,241 kg was bio waste, 31,932 kg dry and the rest wet waste,” the project head, Suresh Bhandari, said.
Currently, under the projects, residents, schools and commercial establishments segregate and dispose of waste on a daily basis in the one bag-two bin format..
