The Anna Centre of Bharathiar University has proposed to conduct a six-month full-time residential coaching classes for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) preliminary exams. Interested candidates, who have applied for the 2017 preliminary exam, could apply for the programme. A press release from the centre said that the coaching would be conducted free of cost.
Applications can be downloaded from the www.b-u.ac.in/Home/AnnaIASAcademy. Completed applications along with particulars of the applicant must be sent to Bharathiar University through post on or before October 11.
The centre would select candidates through a screening test on pattern of UPSC preliminary exam syllabus. This test would be conducted at the BU on October 16 between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. Depending on their performance in the test candidates would be selected to take advantage of the free coaching. Candidates would be offered free accommodation at the university campus from December 19. A monthly food allowance of Rs. 2,000 would also be provided to them, the release added.
