Two senior AIADMK Leaders, in the ruling faction, today exuded confidence about the merger of both the factions, as desired by the grass root level workers.

Both Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy and former Chief Minister, O Paneerselvam wanted to bring in merger and retrieve the Two Leaves
symbol for the benefit of the party, Municipal Administration Minister, S P Velumani told reporters here.

This will happen only by an open dialogue between the factions, since the workers wanted Two Leaves back and save the party, he said.

Similar view was expressed by Tamil Nadu Assembly Deputy Speaker, Pollachi V Jayaraman.

He said that efforts are being taken to retreive the symbol and the good governance given by late Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa will continue.

On water crisis, Velumani said that efforts were being taken in a war footing by the administration to tide over the crisis.
