Kiran Bedi talking about herself is sure to leave an impression. But getting to read an illustrative story book about her life is something else. And, what more when the author herself gives you an autographed copy ! All this happened during her recent visit to GRD Institute of Management.

Dr. Bedi introduced her book ‘Creating Leadership: Illustrations from my top cop years’ to the students. As the name suggests, this book brings to light illustrations from various magazines and newspapers about her life, and all this were hand-picked by Dr. Bedi herself.

She has dedicated the book to her teachers, trainers, parents, seniors, mentors, supporters, colleagues, family and friends. Published by Diamond Books, it was launched at the Book Fair in Delhi last month. This 50-page book is available in book stores and it is priced at Rs. 150.

“My top years were overwhelmingly creative because every time I saw a problem, the focus was on the solutions. I am illustrating a select few for you, drawn from my carefully documented archives. Each archive that is brought to light through this book has a leadership lesson for the readers,” Dr. Bedi said.

Students lined up to get a copy of the book. “It is very motivating listening to her. I am happy to have a copy of this book. I am not a voracious reader. I am happy that this book can be read in parts. Whenever I feel low, I will read one or two pages,” Sidharth P. says.
