The BJP has announced that it will release the manifesto for the assembly polls in Tamil Nadu on March 31.
BJP national secretary H. Raja told reporters that Prohibition will find a prominent place in the manifesto. Also high on the list are plans to extract ethanol from sugarcane, and upgrading the education standard to the CBSE level.
On the ongoing dispute with CPI leader D. Raja, H. Raja alleged that the former’s daughter had give asylum to Umar Khalid, who allegedly raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans on the JNU campus.
On the honour killing of a Dalit youth at Udumalpet, Raja said that the Centre has no role to play and that most of the culprits escape due to legal loopholes. He added that the state government can always seek CBI inquiry.
