Course-related summer camp for school students

Bharathiar University is organising a summer camp for school students, starting April 25, with focus on the recent developments in various subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Social Sciences.
Organised jointly by the Coimbatore-based university and the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, the five-day camp, titled ‘Kurinji,’ will also concentrate on linguistics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and Information Technology.
There will also be competitions like quiz, drawing, and painting, aimed at entertainment and relaxation, during the afternoon sessions.
University professors have expressed their willingness to deliver special lectures in their respective disciplines and arrangements have been made for practical classes too.
The camp is aimed primarily at students of Class VIII to XII. Boarding and lodging facilities will also be arranged.
