The 1956 B.Sc. Agriculture batch of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will have a reunion here on Saturday.
The 80-plus old TNAU pass-outs will meet to celebrate the 60th year of their graduation. According to an alumnus and former Professor of Soil Science of TNAU, Kandasamy, there were 40 classmates out of which only one was a woman. She was no more. As many as 22 alumni would be attending the reunion.
It would not only be a moment of nostalgia and happiness as they come together after many years, but also an opportunity for them to show gratitude to a teachers of theirs.
The alumni would honour their 96-year old teacher Dr. D. Daniel Sundararaj during the event.
Mr. Kandasamy said that it would be a great moment as the octogenarians had taken much efforts to travel from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, to see their batch-mates.
TNAU Vice-Chancellor K. Ramasamy would be the chief guest.
