In the first women’s T10 cricket tournament in Coimbatore, PSNA College of Engineering and Technology cricket team from Dindigul lifted the trophy after beating District Home Guards team in the finals here on Saturday.
The matches were held at the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University.
PSNA chased down a total of 41 runs in the 4th over to lift the cup.
John Belinda Ann, who scored 30 runs, was adjudged the (wo)man of the match.
In the first match, Coimbatore District Home Guards squared off against CRI women’s team from Coimbatore.
Home Guards team managed to post a total of 65 runs for the loss of three wickets in ten overs. CRI fell short by 30 runs, scoring 35 for the loss of two wickets.
In another match PSNA defeated the ACC womens’ team by 34 runs. While the PSNA scored 104, ACC managed only 70 runs.
The semifinals and finals of the men’s tournament would be held at the Ramakrishna Vidyalaya grounds on Sunday.
