Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, one of India’s largest and most trusted eye care chains, has inaugurated its new state-of-the-art eye hospital in Saravanampatti in Coimbatore, marking a significant milestone in strengthening access to advanced eye care in Western Tamil Nadu. This is the 89th hospital of the group in the state.

The facility is designed to deliver comprehensive eye care services in a patient-centric environment. It is equipped with Advanced Modular Operation Theatres, cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, a fully integrated optical and pharmacy section, in a thoughtfully designed calm and serene ambience to enhance patient comfort.

A key highlight of the hospital is its Viewing Gallery, which enables patients and caregivers to experience confidence in every step of the treatment process. The clinical team will be led by Dr E Karpagavalli, Regional Head – Clinical Services, supported by experienced specialists across cataract, glaucoma, retina, cornea, refractive, and oculoplastic services.

The facility was inaugurated by Dr Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust in the presence of senior leadership from Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, including Dr E Karpagavalli, Regional Head – Clinical Services, and Mr Nandha Kumar, Senior Vice President – Operations (South and East India).

Speaking at the occasion, Dr Sundar Ramakrishnan said, “It is heartening to see Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital expanding its presence into the suburbs of Coimbatore, bringing high-quality eye care closer to the communities that need it. The opening of this new facility is a welcome step towards improving access to advanced, reliable and specialised ophthalmic services for residents in and around this region.”
