The seventh edition of Fairpro, the three-day property exhibition, concluded today, July 3. The last day of the event saw the most crowds thronging the venue.

The Coimbatore Chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) organizes Fairpro, its annual property expo. At this year’s Fairpro, over one hundred commercial and residential properties were displayed by over 35 members. “Only property developers who are members of CREDAI participate in Fairpro,” Rajesh Lund, President, CREDAI said. “Members presenting properties at the fair are signatories to the fair practices protocol – a set of guidelines initiated by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), to ensure fair practises in their business with customers. In essence, it is the official property fair from CREDAI, lending the much needed reliability to buyers.”

The floods that hit Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu last year have prompted several potential buyers to consider purchasing a home in Coimbatore. The number of visitors at the property fair this year was considerably more, compared to last year. “I work in Dubai. Both my parents are senior citizens who stay alone at home. After doing my research and talking to experts, I came to know that Coimbatore is one of the safest places for senior citizens who are all by themselves,” Rajiv Rajaram said.

Also at this edition of Fairpro, No Dumping, an initiative where the community, corporate and corporation works together in order to reduce the land fillings of waste through social entrepreneurship, had set up a kiosk at the venue. One of the representatives educated visitors on how to segregate and dispose of the waste. “Several apartments in Coimbatore have adopted the two-bin-one-bag method of segregating and disposing of waste. We want to spread the awareness about No Dumping among the public so that many more households adopt these method of waste disposal,” R. Bhanupriya, representative of No Dumping, said.
