Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) today sought a ban on Tamil Nadu Towheed Jamaat for reportedly issuing a ‘fatwa’ against Muslims to refrain from using Patanjali products, claiming some of them contained cow urine.
HMK President Arjun Sampath said that in this background, that organisation should be banned immediately.
On the issue of the ban imposed on conducting Jallikkattu, Sampath said that there was no proper response from the Centre yet, as expected by people of Tamil Nadu. “Nevertheless, HMK workers will defy the ban and carry on the brave and traditional sport of the Tamils,” he said.
He also welcomed the dress code imposed for entering temples. “Similarly, there should also be an order that only those who sport vermilion, the sacred ash and sandal paste on their forehead should be allowed to go inside the temples,” Sampath said.
