The Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, M. Venkaiah Naidu today expressed his disappointment over China’s blocking India’s proposal in the UN for banning the notorious terrorist Masood Azhar.

“I do not know why China blocked the proposal to ban Azhar. He is a notorious terrorist and he should be banned,” Venkaiah Naidu told reporters in Coimbatore. “Today it was India, tomorrow it could be your (China) turn,” he said.

About Pakistan’s claims that India had no proof of its involvement in terrorist activities, Naidu said that India has enough evidence against Pakistan and they should quit their old habit of finding fault with India.

“If Pakistan put a full stop on aiding, abetting, training and funding terrorists, India and Pakistan can come much closer and work together, since both were united as one country, not so long ago,” he said.

For the first time in the history of the United Nations, Prime Minster Narendra Modi had raised the issue of terrorism and said that it does not know national boundaries. “The entire world should come together and crush the danger of terrorism,” he said.
