Fans of Illaya Thalapathi Vijay are the most disappointed lot as the district administration has put a clamp on evening exclusive can shows on April 14 when the actor’s 59th movie Theri is to be released.

Usually, theatres screen a special show exclusively for fans as early as 4.00 am or 6.00 am before the official release of the movies. These also include that of Rajinikanth, Kamal haasan, Ajith, Vikram and Surya who have a huge base of fan following.

In a statement, District Collector Archana Patnaik has said that no special shows should be screened besides the regular shows on April 14th.

She has further warned that if theatres are found to be extracting more money for tickets, immediate action will be taken against the theatres as it is a crime according to Tamil Nadu Cinemas Regulations (1995).
