A larger number of people today resorted to picketing in the middle of the road near Tirupur, seeking stringent action against policemen, who were instrumental in the death of a motorcyclist, after they gave him a chase late last night.

According to police sources, Suresh and his friend Silambarasan, working in knitwear factory, went without stopping their two-wheeler, despite police asking them to do so.
