The 62-year-old younger sister of the AIADMK candidate from Singanallur Assembly seat has announced that she would contest against him for allegedly duping her of the ancestral property.

Prabhavathi, who claims to be an AIADMK worker, said that her elder brother, Singai Muthu, had used illegal means to swindle her share of ancestral property. The mother of five children told reporters that her brother had threatened her of dire consequences when she announced her decision to contest against him.

“I’m contesting this election with the sole motive of teaching my brother a lesson,” Prabhavathi said.

Singai Muthu was not available for comments.
