Members of the Manavar Urimai Meetpu Kootamaipu will soon be conducting various demonstrations in the state pressing the High Court to lift the suspension orders against six Madurai Law College students and advocates who protested in the Madurai High Court campus demanding the imposition of Tamil as the court language at the High Court.
Briefing media persons here on Tuesday, Jagan, one of the coordinators, said that the suspension was not fair as the students and the advocates did not indulge in any unlawful activities. “The college administration is also reportedly planning to end the career of the students by cancelling their certificates. We condemn this activity and request the state government to immediately look in to the issue,” he said.
He further added that the union, which holds 17 students associations, will continue to protest until the suspension order is lifted.
