Sleuths of the Intelligence Wing today have taken into custody the wife and other family members of a suspected ISIS activist, who was arrested in West Bengal yesterday.
The NIA yesterday arrested Mohammad Massiuddin, aka Musa, who was under scanner for the last few months, at the Burdwan railway station when he was about to board a train to Birbhum.
During interrogation, Musa had reportedly said that his family was running a grocery shop in Tirupur. Following this, intelligence personnel – both from central and state agencies – rushed to Tirupur and made enquiries in the neighbourhood.
They took Musa’s wife, two children, brother and another person to some undisclosed location for interrogation. They also seized six SIM cards, a laptop and two election ID cards.
