Coimbatore : In a momentous event, actress Radhika Sarathkumar inaugurated the Trinity Super Specialty Eye Hospital in RS Puram, Coimbatore, today, October 1, 2023. The hospital, located on D.P. Road near the Post Office, promises to provide world-class integrated high-quality specialized solutions for eye problems and challenges.

Dr Sunil Sreedhar Managing Director of Trinity super speciality eye hospital extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Speaking at the event, he highlighted the hospital’s mission and commitment to delivering top-notch eye care services. Trinity Super Specialty Eye Hospital, which originated in Kerala, has expanded its reach across various cities, including Palakkad, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Alatur, Tirur and Nemmara. The hospital operates on a 3-star mantra, focusing on Eye Care Expertise, Professionally Experienced Staff, Love, Compassion, and Commitment.

Dr. Sreedharan emphasized the increasing prevalence of eye problems due to factors like excessive smartphone and computer screen use, even among young children. The hospital aims to address these issues through home visits, eye treatments for the elderly within a 25-kilometer radius of Coimbatore, and free glasses for school children under 14. They also plan to organize frequent eye check-up camps in rural areas and open an eye bank in Coimbatore.

Highlighting the importance of regular eye examinations for diabetic patients, Dr. Sreedharan stressed the risk of diabetic retinopathy, which can lead to vision loss without symptoms. He urged diabetic patients, especially those with uncontrolled blood glucose levels, to undergo regular ophthalmological examinations.

Actress Radhika Sarathkumar, while inaugurating the hospital, commended the initiative and called for the promotion of noble causes like eye donation and organ donation through the internet. She also touched upon the need for the cinema industry in Coimbatore to receive essential infrastructural facilities and embrace technological advancements. Radhika Sarathkumar emphasized the growing significance of women in the film industry and advocated for the proper implementation of the 33 percent reservation for women.

The event was presided over by Dr. A.K. Sreedharan, Chairman of Trinity Super Specialty Eye Hospital, and attended by other dignitaries, including Managing Director Dr. Sunil Sreedharan, Dr Mridula Sunil, Chief Medical Director, Chief Administrative Officer Jasmine, Medical Director Dr. Mohammad Sabaj, Vice President (Operations) and Marketing, Mr. Johnson Vijai Mathew, and Chief Operating Officer Gunaseelan Pillai.
