In a potentially embarrassing situation, Aavin employees have filed an oral complaint with the city police after more than 100 litres of milk packets were allegedly stolen by Vijay fans from the milk booths all over the city to anoint the flex posters of the actor in Coimbatore during the release of his movie, ‘Theri.’

With the issues circling the movie slowly settling down, the allegations made by the Aavin employees have created a new problem for Vijay fans in Coimbatore city.

According to reliable sources, workers at Aavin outlets at areas including Nehru Stadium, Kottaimedu, and Kavundampalayam were shocked to find milk packets missing from the booths. “More than 100 litres of milk packets have been stolen from Aavin booths and this is not the first time,” claimed a worker, on conditions of anonymity, alleging that similar incident had occurred during the release of the actor’s previous movie, ‘Puli.’

The workers were upset because, despite the fact that they had nothing to do with the disappearance of the milk packets, they were forced to pay for the loss from their salaries.

However, Sumathi, the General Manager of Aavin, has clarified that she has received no such complaints regarding the issue.

“It is the responsibility of the agents to control the activities of the booths. We give milk according to the money they pay, and the agents are the ones who pay the workers. The administration has nothing to do with it,” she clarified.
