A load man was crushed to death in a freak accident today when he was caught between a lorry and the wall while loading bags, at a factory near Kinathukadavu.

The deceased, 22-year-old Rambihari Manji, a native of Bihar, was employed as load man in a cattle feed manufacturing factory. Manji was loading on to the lorry the bags ready to be transported to Karnataka. That was when the lorry’s driver, Madhesh reversed the vehicle, unaware of the fact that Manji was right behind it.

Manji, caught between the lorry and wall, and was crushed to death. Madhesh immediately fled the spot. Police are now searching for him. Meanwhile, Manji’s body was sent to the Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
