The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Coimbatore is celebrating “World Architecture Day” which falls on 2nd October 2023 in association with Rotary Means Business Fellowship, Coimbatore. As a part of the celebration, IIA is organizing a PUBLIC EXHIBITION of the project work of Coimbatore Architects on 30th September (Saturday) & 1st October 2023 (Sunday) at GD Museum Exhibition Hall, Avinashi Road, Coimbatore from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Welcoming the gathering at the inauguration, Ar. Jeyakumar, Chairman, IIA Coimbatore Center spoke of the need for involving the services of Architects in various projects and city planning. Mr. Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, Hon. Collector of Coimbatore District inaugurated the World Architecture Day Exhibition. He complimented the IIA Coimbatore Centre for displaying local talent and for creating better awareness among the public about the field of Architecture. Rtn. B.A. Joseph, Chairman Rotary Means Business Fellowship (RMBF) stated that the Rotary was glad to be part of this significant initiative.
World Architecture Day Drawing Competition
To commemorate the World Architecture Day, the Indian Institute of Architects, Coimbatore, along with Rotary Means Business Fellowship, Coimbatore, organized a drawing competition for school students in which around 1,000 students from various schools participated. The prizes will be given during the Awards Ceremony on 1.10.23 by the Chief Guest Mr. N. Sundaravadivelu, Advocate and Guest of Honour Mr. IACOCCA N. Subramaniam, Industrialist.
