Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): A trainee constable landed in jail after taking selfies sitting in a senior district judge’s chair in a court in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh. Ram Avtar Rawat, 28, who was undergoing training at a police academy in Umaria, was arrested on charges of trespassing, reported PTI.
RB Soni, Kotwali police station in-charge, said the incident occurred on Saturday when Rawat, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, passed by the judge’s room. On noticing that the room was empty, Rawat sat in the judge’s chair and took selfies. The brazen act was noticed by the court peon, Shakti Singh, who informed court officials.
Police were called and Rawat was arrested. He was later granted bail.
